[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1093185] Re: Nautilus browse network broken pipe on AFP after suspend

2013-10-02 Thread mastro
I can confirm this issue.

For me gvfsd-afp does not go to 100% CPU but gvfsd-afp-browse consume a
little of it (about 12%).

Killing gvfsd-afp-browse and re-trying to enter the AFP share works (ask
the password again)

Title:
Nautilus browse network broken pipe on AFP after suspend

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I use Nautilus to browse my files on my Synology Diskstation:
  - Browse Network
  - Select DiskStation
  - Select a folder to connect to

After I suspend my notebook and logging in after 10 to 20 minutes, this
procedure does not work any longer.
Nautilus reports "Error sending data: Broken pipe" when selecting the
DiskStation.

It works again after logging out and in.

  $ lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu 12.10
  Release: 12.10

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1425000] Re: Cannot set right monitor as primary in dual monitor configuration

2017-01-18 Thread mastro
Confirm this in Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS.

I've an external monitor attached via HDMI. It sit on THE LEFT of my
main monitor (laptop).

I need to set my laptop monitor as primary monitor and I want the system
to know the external one is on the left.

If I use the Display application and drag my monitor on the left it
become the primary monitor.

Also look at the discussion here
http://askubuntu.com/questions/300670/is-there-any-ability-to-set-my-primary-monitor

Please fix it, it's really annoying. (ps: can't "me too" this bug, it goes in
timeout)

Title:
Cannot set right monitor as primary in dual monitor configuration

Status in unity-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in xfwm4 package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Unity always considers the left monitor as the default/primary one when in a
dual-monitor configuration. By this I mean that:
  - Desktop icons appear only on the left monitor
  - An opened app (eg libreoffice writer) is opened on the left screen, even if
I launch it via the launcher on the right monitor

The current configuration can be seen at

The .config/monitors.xml file is shown below. Notice that the HDMI
display (green in the photo) is set asyes.
Nevertheless, this seems to be ignored - the behaviour is the one
mentioned above (desktop icons on the left and writer opening on the
  left) .
