Title:
Duplicate Login keyring created on every login, results in multiple
keyring unlock requests on each login

Status in gnome-session package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Steps:

  1. Log in to gnome session.
  2. Authentication required for login keyring dialog appears.
  3. Enter correct password.
  4. Go back to step 2 (repeats N times).
  5. Do whatever (or nothing).
  6. Log out.

Every time I log in (step 1), the value of N increases.
I also see in the "Passwords and Keys" application, that there are multiple
"Passwords" keyrings with the exact same name, "Login" (see screenshot). The
number of duplicate keyrings increases with each login.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 967022] Re: Cannot create new folder in Chromium download dialogue

The same in 14.04

Title:
Cannot create new folder in Chromium download dialogue

Status in “chromium-browser” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Chrome Version : 17.0.963.79
  OS Version: ubuntu 11.10 (64Bit) / opensuse 12.1 (64Bit)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Set option to ask at every download where files should be saved
2.select downloadable file and click create folder in downloads dialogue

  What is the expected result?
New folder should be created. Possibility to rename the new folder

  What happens instead?
New created folder disappears after 1 or 2 seconds

This only happens in the Standard-Download folder which was created
during the OS installation. Per default its named "Downloads".

I also tried other applications. For example i created a new text-
document in libre office and choose "save to". I switched into
/Home/mf/Downloads/ and created a new folder. It works. Then i tried
chromium again, download a file (no matter which filetype), and it
doesn't work. I am not able to create a new folder into Downloads via
  the download dialogue.

Keyboard shortcut for changing keyboard layout does not work on lock
  screen

Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Shortcut for changing keyboard layout does not work on lock screen (to
change keyboard layout for entering password).

  - Switch to some non-english layout (otherwise lock screen will not have
layout indicator at all)
  - Lock the screen
  - Press your shortcut for changing keyboard layout (i.e. ctrl+shift) -- it
will not change layout
  - Clicking layout indicator near password entry box works

"gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256" on log in

Status in “gconf” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gconf

I get the error message: "There is a problem with the configuration
  server. (/usr/lib/libconf-2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status
256)" every time I log into my computer. After I click "close" the
  desktop loads as normal.

This has been happening on all three of my computers since I upgraded
to 10.04 LTS (using boht amd64 and i386 versions).

This is not caused by the permissions issues mentioned in bug #269215
as /etc/gconf/gconf.xml.system is chmodded 755 and /tmp is chmodded
  1777.

  Running "/usr/lib/libconf-2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2" from a terminal
  produces no output.

  Attached is my .xsession-errors.
