[Desktop-packages] [Bug 828593] Re: Gwibber "Smooth scrolling"

2013-03-29 Thread sticks
Thanks of the instructions! I don't mind giving it a go myself. I have
raring on an older machine, so that might be an interesting test case.
In terms of feedback, should I use this ticket to give any, or is there
a different preferred avenue for it?

Bug description:
Trying to read down my list of posts in Gwibber is very difficult
because of a number of bugs. The one I'm reporting here is using the
scrollbar to scroll through the list is in no way smooth and skips in
big jumps. The effect is I cannot read while scrolling, and because
it jumps so jarringly quickly I don't know if I have missed any posts.
We need to implement smooth scrolling.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

The Firefox 4 browser in 11.04 doesn't use Unitys scrollbars (the light ones
with the up/down button showing as soon as you move the mouse pointer over it).
  Instead, it uses standard scrollbars.

I believe this is an inconsistency in the UI, as other programs (e.g.
  Nautilus) show them correctly.

Bug description:

Gwibber list is not "smooth scrolled" : it always scroll to the top of
  a renderer.

It is very disturbing for the user when the renderers (which have
variable row height) have an important height (it is not 12px, but
  rather 150).

Please add smooth scrolling in gwibber :-)
