[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1014385] Re: Can't select misc-fixed-semicondensed aka 6x13 font
@Chris. Yes, the bug is that gnome-terminal, and I supposed other fonconfig-based apps in Gnome3(?), don't allow the selection of the correct font. My workaround is to run Mate, which works the way it's supposed to for all applications. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1014385 Title: Can't select misc-fixed-semicondensed aka 6x13 font Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When I change to 70-yes-bitmaps-fonts and update, I still can't chose the correct font in gnome terminal. Fixed shows up, but I get the normal typeface instead of the semicondensed that I desire. There's no way to select that particular weight (only bold aso). As I live in the terminal and find it well nigh unusable without 6x13, this is a bit of a dealbreaker. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1014385] Re: Can't select misc-fixed-semicondensed aka 6x13 font
http://ptspts.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/how-to-enable-bitmap-fonts-on- ubuntu.html Using the fixedsc font and conf file from that page worked for me. Note The Fixed (6x13) had to be renamed to FixedSC, because the original 6x13 font has the tag semicondensed, which makes it impossible to select in the GNOME font selection dialog (or in any fontconfig-based app). - might this be the issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1014385 Title: Can't select misc-fixed-semicondensed aka 6x13 font Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When I change to 70-yes-bitmaps-fonts and update, I still can't chose the correct font in gnome terminal.
