> What do you mean by "reinstall Unity: run in a terminal sudo apt-get > install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop . " Unity is the window manager for Ubuntu. Reinstalling it might fix the indicator displays. To do this: - Open a terminal: Dash -> search for terminal -> open Terminal - In the terminal window, run: sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop - You will be asked for your password. Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1075739] Re: i dont know
Thanks for the reply. i was using Ubuntu 12.04 and upgraded to 12.10. 12.04 was functioning fine but when i upgraded i could no longer access the system settings, the clock went away and the battery remaining time went away. when i click on the system settings drop-down nothing happens. Please keep in mind I know very little about the Linux OS. thanks Trey On 11/07/2012 12:18 PM, RaduStoica wrote: > Hello, > >Thanks for reporting this bug. Unfortunately, your report lacks > details.
