I can't reproduce this issue on Files 3.26.3-0ubuntu4 in Ubuntu 18.04, assuming fixed. Please re-open if you can reproduce the issue on 18.04 or 18.10.

This happens whenever the left pane fills more than the window. It is very disconcerting that whenever I try to move or copy files, the highlighed directory in the left pane shifts arbitrarily to a random directory even though the copy or move is performed correctly.
