Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  not much else to say. When using alsamixer from terminal and when
  using all gui methods of changing volume it always mutes at 15% and
  below. When using alsamixer volume jumps from 0 to 16 and when using
  gui sliders there is nothing below 16%. I have found nothing about
  this other than two other posts with people saying the same thing, and
  no fixes posted there either. I can't imagine only three people are
  experiencing this.

Bug description:
  not much else to say. When using alsamixer from terminal and when
  using all gui methods of changing volume it always mutes at 15% and
  below. When using alsamixer volume jumps from 0 to 16 and when using
  gui sliders there is nothing below 16%. I have found nothing about
  this other than two other posts with people saying the same thing, and
  no fixes posted there either. I can't imagine only three people are
  experiencing this.

Not too sure what you are trying to say. I am no expert at Ubuntu or Linux
