I don't know if this also applies to other indicators or has to do with the menu being deactivated when the HUD is open.) In fact, it doesn't show ANYTHING in that menu, at all. I can't start a new message in Thunderbird neither, nor Thunderbird whatsoever, nor Gwibber... It's like the menu and the HUD are not communicating at all. All the other menus, except the messaging one seem to work as expected. Oh, and the blue envelope remains blue on open/close HUD in my case.
