  Desktop files disappear offscreen when second monitor is connected

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  When there is a second monitor attached and when the second monitor is
  on the right and the top of the second monitor is higher then the top
  of the primary monitor (on the left), then when one clicks the
  organize desktop button, the icons will start at where the top of the
  monitor would be if the tops were both lined up. (see
  http://picpaste.com/ubuntu_bug-l448hoUU.png). Icons on my computer are
  arrange top-to-bottom, left-to-right; the default setting.

  I am using Ubuntu 12.10.
