[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1189169] Re: GDM 3.8.1.1 (Saucy) depends on dconf-tools
Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. According to Debian, gdm actually needs dconf-cli instead: http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg-gnome?view=revisionrevision=38363 We'll still have ubuntu-gnome-desktop depend on dconf-editor though. I don't know if Ubuntu itself will continue to include dconf-editor or not by default. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1189169 Title: GDM 3.8.1.1 (Saucy) depends on dconf-tools Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: As noted here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2152255 GDM 3.8.1.1 depends on dconf-tools when it should depend on dconf-editor, as dconf-tools is a transitional package, for help installing the new split packages dconf-cli and dconf-editor.
