Guilherme Caldas de Oliveira, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . Hi, thanks for helping, but my problem is worse. Usually, I don't even can open a tty terminal. It freezes completely. Sometimes I can open a terminal by this way when I press F12 before Ubuntu tries to start lightdm. Anyway, I just tried it that you just told me (sudo lightdm restart), but only a cursor appears and disappears after 2 seconds. For a while, I'm using xinit to open a graphical session. Have you tried using `Ctrl` + `Alt` + `F1` to switch to a logon terminal, logging in and then using the command `sudo lightdm restart`?
