Title:
unable to properly calibrate wacom tablet

Status in Switchboard:
  Invalid
Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
When I try to calibrate my cintiq, it always results in the cursor
being offset/oversensitive. How it's offset and by how much seems to
  depend.

In its current borked configuration, when I move the cursor left and
right, it drifts away from its intended position towards the screen
edges, lining up with the pen tip about 1/3rd from the screen's left
  edge.

In an earlier attempt, the vertical movement became messed up, with
the cursor being stuck at the bottom of the screen until I moved the
pen towards the top, where the cursor would suddenly jumped to the
screen center and behave as if my screen was half its actual height.

These effects are (understandably) exaggerated when I have my
  secondary monitor plugged in.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1202876] Re: unable to properly calibrate wacom tablet

2014-06-27 Thread Deevad
From my test, I have same issue with all wacom plugin from 3.8 version of
Gnome. It means on all Ubuntu, 14.04 included.
It's fixed on Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 with the stagging ppa to update to GNOME 3.12
, the wacom configurator here works perfectly.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1202876] Re: unable to properly calibrate wacom tablet

2013-08-31 Thread Kingsley
This automatically fixed itself sometime in the last few days, and I was
able to calibrate it. Today, it decided to stop working again. :/

It seemed to happen after these updates:

Start-Date: 2013-08-31 17:06:14
Commandline: /usr/sbin/synaptic
Upgrade: libpanel-applet-4-0:i386 (3.4.1-0ubuntu1.1, 3.4.1-0ubuntu1.2),
dh-apparmor:i386 (2.7.102-0ubuntu3.7, 2.7.102-0ubuntu3.8),
gala:i386 (0.1-0~r351+pkg18+r2~precise1, 0.1-0~r353+pkg18~precise1),
apparmor:i386 (2.7.102-0ubuntu3.7, 2.7.102-0ubuntu3.8),
elementary-tweaks:i386 (0.1-0~124~precise1, 0.1-0~127~ubuntu12.04.1)
End-Date: 2013-08-31 17:06:54

I tried swapping gala out for xfwm4, but it doesn't change anything, so
perhaps it was just coincidence.

We're using Ubuntu's plug for Wacom tablets, retargeting the bug
accordingly.

Thanks. For what it's worth, it works in Fedora 19, which also uses
gnome-control-center.
