[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1235537] Re: No audio on skype or flashplayer through firefox - 13.10
Skype works on 13.10 if launched with this command: env PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 /usr/bin/skype Does NOT work if the PULSE_LATENCY is not used, so the package is still broken. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1235537 Title: No audio on skype or flashplayer through firefox - 13.10 Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: kubuntu-13.10 amd64 updated daily There is no audio on skype or flashplayer, either through firefox or chromium. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1235537] Re: No audio on skype or flashplayer through firefox - 13.10
Hi doctor... ;-) I had the same problem on Ubuntu 13.10. In some older discussion on other fora I found that HDMI output sometimes causes this problem. Test: setting my analog output to HDMI also broke my normal sound. So apparently the browser uses HDMI by default... MY FIX was to go open PulseAudio Volume Control in the dash and in configuration I simply turned off the HDMI profile (I had one HDMI and one analog there). After that normal sound still works fine and sound plays in the browser as well. Hope this is of some help to you. ;-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1235537 Title: No audio on skype or flashplayer through firefox - 13.10 Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: kubuntu-13.10 amd64 updated daily There is no audio on skype or flashplayer, either through firefox or chromium. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1235537] Re: No audio on skype or flashplayer through firefox - 13.10
Audio on all applications works as expected on 13.04. The problem seems to have occurred during the 13-04 - 13.10 upgrade. Not sure whether the problem is pulseaudio or alsa related. ** Package changed: ubuntu = pulseaudio (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1235537 Title: No audio on skype or flashplayer through firefox - 13.10 Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: kubuntu-13.10 amd64 updated daily There is no audio on skype or flashplayer, either through firefox or chromium.
