[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1239159] Re: On renaming Documents folder for new language no renaming occure - a second Document folder is created
Thanks for the additional info. The dialog shown, when you log in the first time after having switched to German, states: "Hinweis: Bestehende Inhalte verden nicht verschoben." (Please see the attachment xdg-user-dirs-dialog.png.) In other words, it's expected behavior to keep old folders with contents. This way the feature does not alter the paths to existing files, which makes sense IMO. Assuming that you had saved files in the Documents and Pictures folders, I think this bug should be marked as invalid. However, I await your further comments before doing so. Please let me know whether you agree on my conclusion. ** Attachment added: "xdg-user-dirs-dialog.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-user-dirs/+bug/1239159/+attachment/3877076/+files/xdg-user-dirs-dialog.png ** Changed in: xdg-user-dirs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xdg-user-dirs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1239159 Title: On renaming Documents folder for new language no renaming occure - a second Document folder is created Status in “xdg-user-dirs” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The original system language for installation was US english. Instead a second Documents folder in german language is created(called: Dokumente). As a result I have two Documents folders. One called in english the other in german.
