When I switch between the screen of my laptop and the external monitor, the background of the external one suddenly changes to blank white sometimes (the background colour of the launcher on the external screen doesn't change but the notable objects from the wallpaper shown below the launcher aren't there so the launcher keeps the colour but misses the background image). Right click on the blank white screen shows the menu and icons are visible as well. I think it's not a duplicate of bug #1241252: the top menu bar doesn't change. I get the issue in whatever session I open first. Yes, I'm using nautilus. I used ubuntu-bug to make this report, I clicked on the wallpaper and this is why it's described as a nautilus bug. Though, I'm pretty sure this is NOT a nautilus bug. The current bug, this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1241252 and this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1241913 are, I think, one and the same. Logging out and logging in again fixes those problem, and compiz --replace does the job, too. So I think they're all compiz bugs. Do you think we should merge them, if possible? Note: When I switch workspaces (using ctrl+alt+left, right, etc.) the animation shows my workspace as if there was only one monitor connected, which makes me think that the reason why one of my monitor shows a gray background, is because my second monitor is detected (or set (ie. using xrandr)) too late in the process. What do you think? Still a compiz bug?
