Title:
[MS-7924, Realtek ALC892, Green Line Out, Rear] Underruns, dropouts or
  crackling sound

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Crackling sounds occur right after playback has been started. Addtionally a
very, very short part of the file/video is looped during playback, but moves on
after a few moments and starts to loop the new part. When the mouse is moved,
looping does not occur. The looping may change to a regular echo-
like sound, which cannot be prevented by moving the mouse.

2014-07-05 Thread Daniel Letzeisen
Probably a duplicate of:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1321421

I would try removing the alsa-base.conf customizations (position_fix,
model=auto) and using workaround in that bug.
