Hi Gunnar, I'm happy to keep those fonts if we can get related configuration fixed by the time of release, but if it's not going to happen then just remove them. For the ibus and fcitx move, I prefer to hold for a moment. In addition,because Ubuntu Kylin integrate fictx ,so I suggest remove ibus for zh-hans and zh-hant. It sure is going to happen, but the queues move slowly at the moment, probably due to the phone + vacations. Please note that this is a 14.04 issue also, so just dropping the fonts- arphic-* packages from pkg_depends wouldn't help those who already have installed 14.04. Thanks for your report. There is a current issue with font configuration for Chinese, but it's about to be fixed (please see bug #1351092). Stop pulling those packages from data/pkg_depends is not a reasonable way to deal with the issue IMO. (Btw, fonts-droid is still included in all Ubuntu installations, also non-Chinese.) ibus is the default IM framework in all other Ubuntu distributions except for Ubuntu Kylin, so you cannot just remove it from data/pkg_depends. Besides, ibus is currently a dependency of standard packages also in Ubuntu Kylin. This may be changed going forward.
