[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1388738] Re: No cursor while compositing

2014-11-03 Thread PeterPall
Thanks a lot!

Since the last bug that was similar was caused by gsettings-daemon was somehow
lost how it is supposed to tell xserver-xorg it wants to be informed reliably
when the mouse pointer moves I honestly don't know if I assigned it to the
right package: I think it was fixed on gsettings-daemon's side.
... and the credits for the workaround doesn't go to me: Found the solution at
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24970776/the-mouse-works-fine-but-it-does-not-display-in-ubuntu-14-04-arm-beagleboard-xm
after googling for about an hour without using the mouse.

Kind regards,

Gunter.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1388738] Re: No cursor while compositing

2014-11-03 Thread Matthieu Baerts
Hello,

I confirm that I also have this bug. But I don't know if this bug report is a
duplicate of bug #1238410 because I only have this bug after updates on Ubuntu
Vivid.
It seems that the bug #1238410 is an old one and it should be fixed on Ubuntu
Vivid.

PS: thank you for the workaround ;-)
