[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1390921] Re: Problem with Lexmark 120n print driver
Please report this problem to CUPS upstream at http://www.cups.org/str.php with link to this bug report and post a link to your upstream bug report here. Thanks. ** Tags added: needs-upstream-report ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1390921 Title: Problem with Lexmark 120n print driver Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I believe this is the same as Bug #1335558 (and the other bugs it references), just a different printer model (same make as that bug though, so might be worth investigating the other printers in the same range from Lexmark, if that's possible). The workaround in the comments on that bug seems to have worked for me. First print after a restart of the printer works okay, subsequent prints output page after page of garbage characters, with the string "PJL ENTER LANGUAGE" at the start. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1390921] Re: Problem with Lexmark 120n print driver
I don't have time to create an account on every upstream package provider's bug tracker. Do you not take ownership of problems yourselves? I thought that was one of the distinguishing factors of Ubuntu - one organisation for the end-user to deal with. Anyway, I've fixed it for me, using the kludge mentioned elsewhere. Any other Ubuntu users with the same problem are out of luck, I guess. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1390921 Title: Problem with Lexmark 120n print driver Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I believe this is the same as Bug #1335558 (and the other bugs it references), just a different printer model (same make as that bug though, so might be worth investigating the other printers in the same range from Lexmark, if that's possible). Sorry, Denny, please follow the instructions of the section "USB printer does not print or prints garbage" on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems. Important for us is the output of "lsusb" and which of the options makes your printer actually work. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1390921 Title: Problem with Lexmark 120n print driver Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I believe this is the same as Bug #1335558 (and the other bugs it references), just a different printer model (same make as that bug though, so might be worth investigating the other printers in the same range from Lexmark, if that's possible).
