Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Since Mesa 10.2 i get an error when i run Steam: OpenGL GLX context is not 
using direct rendering, which may cause performance problems.
  For more information visit 
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9938-EYZB-7457.;
  When i try to run Half-Life 2 i get this:
  Could not find required OpenGL entry point 'glGetError' ! Either your video 
card is unsupported, or your OpenGL driver needs to be updated.
  If a game does run i get horrible frame rate like 5 fps
  I have SAPPHIRE HD 7850 1GB, the same error shows on mesa 10.3 and 10.4.
  I have Xubuntu 14.10 but the same error shows on other Ubuntu flavors and 
distributions.
