- Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
- NVidia GeForce GT 740M
- VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics 
Controller (rev 09)
- 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107M [GeForce GT 740M] (rev a1)

The behavior is the same of the comment above.

Same problem here!

  - I have  a Dell Precision M6800
  - nVidia Quadro K31000M, driver version 331.113
  - kubuntu 14.04, amd64
  -  xserver-xorg-video-intel   2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1.3

The extended monitor is splittted and shifted indeed and does not seem to have 
any acceleration. Visualization is laggy and even the mouse pointer is not 
moving over it smoothly.
Hope it can be fixed soon? Is the general recommendation to roll-back to 
Nouveau?
