I can confirm this is an actual bug as my system is affected too. My system: Xubuntu 16.04 LTS, x86-64. My system is an update to a 15.10 installation. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1540157] Re: Xenial: Mouse pointer disappears after release upgrade
This is actually affecting Xenial not too frequently on real hardware installation. I remember it is present at the start of the session and it disappear (pointer reappear) as soon as I click the Logout written. Never seen the pointer converted into a cross, only not drawn (invisible but presents and working). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1540157 Title: Xenial: Mouse pointer disappears after release upgrade Status in unity package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in xserver-xorg-video-intel package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: After release upgrade from Wily to Xenial, the mouse pointer is invisible.
