I'm with the same problem when I try to edit grub config file. So searched over another places and found this: "If I recall correctly from a previous discussion about this sort of thing, the problem is that when you su to root a lot of your environment which is required for the correct running of Gnome GUI apps is not set up appropriately. Perhaps an alternative (nano?) or just use vi." http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=303374 If I've understood right I've to switch to another editor. So I'll try the same line in terminal switching "gedit" for "nano". I've switched to "sudo nano gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg" and sucess until now. I've to reboot and see if grub is now with the new settings ready to go. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1575484] Re: "Set document metadata failed"
I just installed Aptana Studio 3.6.1 on Ubuntu 16.04. I got the same problem with (gedit:14126). So, I open the Nautilus, and I found on /usr/share/applications the icon of Aptana Studio 3. I clicked on it, and it just open and the application is working now! I hope it can work for others.
