[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1615265] Re: OpenStreetMap Plugin for Map QML type broken

2016-11-01 Thread Timo Jyrinki
The vivid backport of the plugin seems problematic at this point, it
uses several new core location features from 5.6. Regarding "rtm" as in
"next stable platform", this is already fixed in xenial-overlay.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1615265] Re: OpenStreetMap Plugin for Map QML type broken

2016-09-02 Thread Timo Jyrinki
If Qt 5.5 has a working plugin, I assume Qt 5.6 in yakkety and xenial
phone overlay is fine, so adding only OTA task.

There's a ticket now for this https://requests.ci-
train.ubuntu.com/#/ticket/1900 , remains to be seen how hard the
backporting is. It seems it will need even more location core changes
backporting than what was done a few months ago when newer OSM/MapQuest
plugin was ported. Hopefully it will be just a couple of commits though.

2016-08-27 Thread Michael Zanetti
With Qt 5.5 there's a working MapBox plugin which could be used as a
replacement for the MapQuest plugin. This could probably be backported
quite easily.
