After some digging, i've found that installing libreoffice-core (in case of non wanting to install the metapackage 'libreoffice') does not 'recommend' to install "libreoffice-gnome | libreoffice-kde" as it needs. Please add "libreoffice-gnome | libreoffice-kde" as a libreoffice-core recommended dependency. Tested the 5.2.2 version from the prereleases ppa: the problem reported here is still not fixed.
