[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1640558] Re: 16.10 Backup Failure.
I have not seen this before. Is it possible it's an Out Of Memory error? duplicity 0.7.06 is ancient and Python2.7 has been End Of Life for a couple of years. I would suggest looking into upgrading to duplicity 1.2.3, which is the last version that will support Python2.7. The easiest way is to: $ sudo apt remove duplicity <--- do not skip this step $ sudo python -m pip install duplicity==1.2.3 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to duplicity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1640558 Title: 16.10 Backup Failure. Status in duplicity package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: A daily backup job run by corn invokes a script that runs duplicity. Since I have upgraded to 16.10 from 16.04 duplicity crashes with the message "killed". It seems that the real problem is in the NVIDIA driver for my screen. The machine does not crash in other situations.
