[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1650076] Re: Evince scrolls even when unfocused after image/text is selected
The upstream report https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues/747 indicates that the issue is now fixed in recent versions ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues #747 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues/747 ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1650076 Title: Evince scrolls even when unfocused after image/text is selected Status in Evince: Expired Status in evince package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: When an image or portion of text in a pdf is clicked in Evince, dragged (as if to drag it to another application), then let go of, Evince will continue to scroll depending on where the pointer is placed, even if the window or workspace is changed. The user's place is quickly lost. To reproduce: 1.) Open a pdf with Evince. 2.) Left click on an image or page of a if it is an image, or select some text. 3.) With the left mouse button held down, drag it so that the "hand holding a document" icon appears. 4.) Let go of the left mouse button. 5.) Go to another window or desktop, and note that depending on the location of the mouse on the screen Evince, even unfocused, will scroll the pdf in that direction (e.g. up if the mouse is near the top). The only way to stop Evince from scrolling is to go back to Evince and click or scroll again. I've tested this on with Evince 3.18.2 on Ubuntu 16.04. This did not occur back in 14.04. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1650076 Title: Evince scrolls even when unfocused after image/text is selected Status in evince package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: When an image or portion of text in a pdf is clicked in Evince, dragged (as if to drag it to another application), then let go of, Evince will continue to scroll depending on where the pointer is placed, even if the window or workspace is changed.
