apport information ** Attachment added: "UdevDb.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1716741/+attachment/5052287/+files/UdevDb.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1716741 Title: [artful] After killing Google Chrome, X.org crashes Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Sometimes (quite often recently) Google Chrome gets stuck on my computer - its not responding at all and when resizing the window there is no repaint. If I then kill the process (it seems to happen both for TERM and KILL), the Google Chrome windows close and everything seems to work for a some short time (less than a minute) and then I get kicked out of the session. Looking at the Xorg.0.log.old, I see this: [ 7529.780] (EE) [ 7529.780] (EE) Backtrace: [ 7529.781] (EE) 0: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (xorg_backtrace+0x4d) [0x55ad1ae6541d] [ 7529.781] (EE) 1: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (0x55ad1acad000+0x1bc1a9) [0x55ad1ae691a9] [ 7529.781] (EE) 2: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0 (0x7f6038c5e000+0x11670) [0x7f6038c6f670] [ 7529.781] (EE) 3: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (present_event_notify+0x2f) [0x55ad1ade58ff] [ 7529.781] (EE) 4: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/modesetting_drv.so (0x7f60349c5000+0xec3f) [0x7f60349d3c3f] [ 7529.781] (EE) 5: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/modesetting_drv.so (0x7f60349c5000+0xf93b) [0x7f60349d493b] [ 7529.781] (EE) 6: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdrm.so.2 (drmHandleEvent+0xc7) [0x7f603a333627] [ 7529.781] (EE) 7: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (0x55ad1acad000+0x1bcc81) [0x55ad1ae69c81] [ 7529.781] (EE) 8: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (WaitForSomething+0x1fb) [0x55ad1ae62c7b] [ 7529.781] (EE) 9: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (0x55ad1acad000+0x52bc3) [0x55ad1acffbc3] [ 7529.781] (EE) 10: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (0x55ad1acad000+0x56e40) [0x55ad1ad03e40] [ 7529.781] (EE) 11: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf1) [0x7f60388b9421] [ 7529.781] (EE) 12: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg (_start+0x2a) [0x55ad1acedb2a] [ 7529.781] (EE) [ 7529.781] (EE) Segmentation fault at address 0x50 [ 7529.781] (EE) Fatal server error: [ 7529.781] (EE) Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
