[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1736820] Re: Laptop doesn't suspend on lid close
The reason to reopen this bug was duplicate bug 1767715. Plus this one was never explicitly resolved. I have now reopened bug 1767715 separately. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1736820 Title: Laptop doesn't suspend on lid close Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Laptop is Thinkpad T450. On previous releases of Ubuntu I would close the lid to suspend it. 17.10 doesn't suspend on lid close, which has caused my laptop to overheat in my bag a couple of times. I have installed tweak tool and made sure the power section toggle switch is on. But it makes no difference. I have also tried rebooting, flipping the toggle back and forth, and still nothing. Should I see a key change somewhere in dconf-editor once I flip the switch? Does suspend work for others, on the T450?
