I finally got this fixed, by deleting almost every hidden file and folder in my home folder. This situation has recurred 3 times in the last 4 months. I think it happens after opening Chromium with temporary profile (in order to log into a different gmail account). It seems like after I do that a few times, Chromium becomes corrupted in the manner described in this bug report. So is this happening when you reboot your computer only? I tried deleting the config folder again, just now. Then, launched chromium and created a bookmark and save the credentials for a website login. I closed chromium and then launched it again. It did remember the bookmark I had added and the website credentials that I had saved during the session. However, after this I rebooted and logged back in. Again, Chromium forgot everything! Can you please launch it from a terminal window with the following command, and share the output here? chromium-browser --enable-logging=stderr It could be that your current profile is corrupted for some reason.
