Title:
Main window maximizes width on the closing appplication.

Status in Mozilla Thunderbird:
  Invalid
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
If I close thunderbird using File->Quit (or ctrl+Q) the window
maximizes to the screen width just before it closes and retains that
  max-width on the next restart.

This does not happen if I close thunderbird with the window-manager's
  Close button in the titlebar.

(I don't normally run windows full-screen, as to me that rather
removes the usefulness of having a window system.)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1801782] Re: Main window maximizes width on the closing appplication.

2019-02-09 Thread Gordon Lack
OK. I had a thought.

Started in Safe Mode - all is OK.
So I then went around disabling all extensions and *as I disabled one* the
window maximized width-wise.
That extension is: CustomizeMyBird.

So I'll report the issue there instead.

The main window should not have been maximized on shut-down in the first
place!

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:65.0)

Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird is being closed using File->Quit (or ctrl+Q), the window
maximizes to the screen width just before it closes and retains that
max-width on the next restart.

Actual results:

The main window retains maximum width on the next restart.

Expected results:

The main window should not have been maximised on restart.

Title:
Main window maximizes width on the closing appplication.

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
If I close thunderbird using File->Quit (or ctrl+Q) the window
maximizes to the screen width just before it closes and retains that
  max-width on the next restart.

This does not happen if I close thunderbird with the window-manager's
  Close button in the titlebar.

(I don't normally run windows full-screen, as to me that rather
removes the usefulness of having a window system.)

Is this still an issue now that Thunderbird 60.4 is the currently
supported version?
