  ## Current behavior ##
  After a few seconds of the function call `sane_get_devices` the application 
crashed with "*** stack smashing detected ***: <unknown> terminated" message
  
  ## Workaround ##
  Comment out the `as6e` line in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
