[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1825224] Re: gnome-calendar cannot add credentialed web ics calendars
Closing as fix released since this was fixed around the time of Gnome 3.34. ** Changed in: gnome-calendar (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-calendar in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1825224 Title: gnome-calendar cannot add credentialed web ics calendars Status in GNOME Calendar: Fix Released Status in gnome-calendar package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Upon attempting to add a calendar from outlook.com, I was greeted with a username/password dialog box. So, I entered my username (an email address in this case) and an app password I generated since I have two-factor authentication. The dialog box would go away, but the calendar would not be added. It seems as though the username/password dialog box takes the input, but then the "Add" button fails to become active. Reproducible every time. The only workaround was to add the calendar using Evolution, which properly accepted the username/app-password and added the calendar. Unfortunately, at that point, I discovered bug #1825227. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1825224] Re: gnome-calendar cannot add credentialed web ics calendars
Thank you for your bug report. Can you add the journalctl log from the session where you add the issue? (or remove the calendar, start gnome-calendar from a command line, try to add the ics and copy any warning/error which is printed out) ** Changed in: gnome-calendar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: gnome-calendar (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-calendar in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1825224 Title: gnome-calendar cannot add credentialed web ics calendars Status in gnome-calendar package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Upon attempting to add a calendar from outlook.com, I was greeted with a username/password dialog box.
