Type 'foo' for the name of the folder and hit enter. 4. Right click on folder named 'foo' and choose Properties. 5. Click on 'Permissions' tab. 6. Change 'File Permissions' for 'Others' to 'Read/Write'. 7. Click on 'Close'. 8. Right click on folder named 'foo' and choose Properties. 9. Click on 'Permisions' tab. Look at 'File Permissions' for 'Others'. It is set back to '---'. It should be 'Read/Write'. Tried the same thing as root using 'gksudo nautilus'. Same problem.
