The crash does not happen if I do not use scaling in GNOME display settings, or if I turn off the "hardware acceleration" option in Impress --> Tools --> Options --> LibreOffice --> View --> Graphics Output. Yes, I found the identical problem appears with the PPA version you pointed to, LibreOffice 7.4.4.2 40(Build:2). Additional info: the bug occurs on both Wayland and Xorg sessions on my Ubuntu 22.04 installation.
