OK so I asked both the people at LibreOffice and Gnome: A dev at LibreOffice [did quite some additional tests](https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155680) and is convinced this is an Ubuntu / Gnome / Dash to Panel issue, and not a LibreOffice issue. THis is consistent with reports that I've seen of quicklists/jumplists working on other distros such as Xubuntu. I can report that: - i installed Dash to Panel, quicklists are also not working there, things seem to be even worse as now they are also not working for the file manager. So now getting quicklists (recent items) on none of the items in the Dash.
