OK that is an interesting data point about the password != NULL failure... But that error is probably coming from the gvfsd-sftp binary, not the deja-dup binary. As another data point, if you use a newer version - like from snap or flatpak installs, does that change anything? Hmm… that means we aren’t able to store passwords in your desktop secrets / passwords store. It looks like you’re using gnome, so that’s very unexpected (there are known issues with KDE).
