[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2048697] Re: Saving backup server credentials

2024-02-04 Thread Luis
Hey,

I don't use an extra version or a newer version. I use the latest
version over apt.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2048697] Re: Saving backup server credentials

2024-02-04 Thread Michael Terry
OK that is an interesting data point about the password != NULL
failure... But that error is probably coming from the gvfsd-sftp binary,
not the deja-dup binary.

As another data point, if you use a newer version - like from snap or
flatpak installs, does that change anything? I don't remember fixing
anything around that, but you never know.

2024-01-20 Thread Luis
I could find a log entry in syslog about this error:

gvfsd-sftp[168973]: secret_password_storev_sync: assertion 'password !=
NULL' failed

Maybe this will help you...

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2048697] Re: Saving backup server credentials

2024-01-15 Thread Michael Terry
Hmm… that means we aren’t able to store passwords in your desktop
secrets / passwords store. It looks like you’re using gnome, so that’s
very unexpected (there are known issues with KDE).

If you connect to these servers using the basic Files (nautilus) app, do
the passwords get saved?
