[Desktop-packages] [Bug 328444] Re: gnome-terminal shortcuts: Alt+Shift+1 shows as Alt+! etc.
** Changed in: gnome-terminal Status: Confirmed => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/328444 Title: gnome-terminal shortcuts: Alt+Shift+1 shows as Alt+! etc. Status in GNOME Terminal: Expired Status in gtk+2.0 package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal Using Jaunty alpha 4, updating packages daily. I use irssi a lot, using gnome-terminal. By default irssi uses Alt+num to change windows, gnome-terminal uses Alt+num to change tabs. When multiple tabs are open, Alt+num keypress is catched by gnome-terminal, so I decided to bind tab keys differently: Alt-Shift-1 -> Tab 1 Alt-Shift-2 -> Tab 2 etc. The keypresses function just fine, but they are displayed like this: Alt-Shift-1 -> Alt-! Alt-Shift-2 -> Alt-@ etc. (depends on keymap used) This behavious is, in my opinion, wrong. See screenshot (Finnish keymap used).
