[Desktop-packages] [Bug 413021] Re: iPod always mounted as root upon connection
This also occurs in Mint 14 I found a post with a workaround for this bug. It was posted by Sooz Not OpenSuse at http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1901371.html I removed USBmount as suggested and I can again load songs onto my ipod There are errors that pop up, but acknowledging them still loads the songs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/413021 Title: iPod always mounted as root upon connection Status in Nautilus: Unknown Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: In Jaunty I hadn't this problem, so it's a regression for me. Whenever I plug in my FAT32 iPod classic, it gets mounted as root instead of my current user, making impossible writing to it with e.g. gtkpod. I've got to sudo unmount it via shell, and then using gnome- mount -d /dev/sdc1 makes the correct thing. /etc/fstab doesn't contain anything pertinent. Other USB media devices are mounted correctly with ownership set to the current user. Please tell what other informations I could provide.
