Title:
Sony VAIO VGN-SR51MF/S does not wake up from sleep

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

I'm using Kubuntu 11.04 beta, but this bug was already present in
  previous versions of (K)Ubuntu.

My laptop is a Sony VAIO VGN-SR51MF/S. The video card is an ATI Radeon
Mobility HD4570.
glxinfo says the opengl renderer string is OpenGL renderer string: Gallium
0.4 on AMD RV710

When I switch my laptop on, the screen stays black and the harddisk
activity led keeps burning - not flickering, but continuously burning.
No useful activity seems to be happening.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 747627] Re: Sony VAIO VGN-SR51MF/S does not wake up from sleep

2014-01-08 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Hans Bakker, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Sony VAIO VGN-SR51MF/S does not wake up from sleep

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
