[Desktop-packages] [Bug 861794] Re: network manager doesn't start on boot

2012-06-27 Thread Per Moller
A wast majority of problems I've had with various releases have been relative
to NPM and wireless. I have now stopped and no longer have the ambition that it
should always work.
If you check the original bug-report, you will see that it was reported in
September of last year. I have moved on so please close the bug

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 861794] Re: network manager doesn't start on boot

2012-06-26 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
What do you mean by that? Wireless should be working on your system
(since you have a wireless card). If it's not, that's a bug, be it in
NetworkManager or elsewhere. Unfortunately, I can't confirm this yet
because there is nothing indicating what might be the issue.

Please attach the file .xsession-errors from your home directory to this
bug report (take a copy before starting nm-applet manually). It's a
hidden file, so you might need to set Nautilus or whatever you use to
browse files to show them.

You can close the bug-report: I have now understood that wireless is not
a function of Ubuntu (or networking as such for that matter)
