Joachim Wilke (jowi24), Henri Daumas (daumas77), thank you for your comments. I`m running LO 4.2.3.3 on Xubuntu 14.04 64 bit. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 884684] Re: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns
I get the same problem with 11.10-64 bit when I run FreeRapid with the clipboard monitoring turned on. If I am running FreeRapid with clipboard monitoring ON at the same time as LO Calc: a Control-C or Control-X or Control-V, OR Edit->Copy, Edit->Cut or Edit->Paste, OR a Captcha popup will cause a crash. If I simply turn off clipboard monitoring in FreeRapid (F7), the error no longer occurs when I do any clipboard function. However, the Captcha event still crashes Libre Calc. In fact, if I have a Captch window up when I try to launch Libre Calc, Calc loads briefely and immediately crashes I am running Oneiric 64-bit FreeRapid 0.86u1 build #581, with java 1.7.0_01-b08 Libre Calc 3.4.4 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884684 Title: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Steps to reproduce: - open some spreadsheet, .csv or .ods does not matter - select some data (text, numbers), like 5x8 cells - hit ctrl-c or right-click -> "copy" - some moments later, calc crashes without any errormessage ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libreoffice-calc 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Nov 1 11:28:08 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/884684/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 884684] Re: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns
Simply running LibreOffice along a Java app isn't enough to crash it, as I'm running Eclipse (definitely a Java app), and still can not reproduce the problem. It has been invalidated only because it does not have enough information to fix the bug, and when a proper bugreport with the crash information is submitted, it will be submitted as a separate bug, so there's no need to keep this open. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884684 Title: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Steps to reproduce: - open some spreadsheet, .csv or .ods does not matter - select some data (text, numbers), like 5x8 cells - hit ctrl-c or right-click -> "copy" - some moments later, calc crashes without any errormessage ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libreoffice-calc 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Nov 1 11:28:08 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/884684/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Desktop-packages] [Bug 884684] Re: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns
Just to add some information, this bug is not related to ubuntu (it happens also with opensuse :-) but with Openoffice when used in conjuction with another JAVA application running. I've noticed that when using JDownloader this bug occurs, and not when otherwise. So I would classify it as invalid like-that... and the current workaround is to stop the JAVA-app while running LibreOffice. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884684 Title: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Steps to reproduce: - open some spreadsheet, .csv or .ods does not matter - select some data (text, numbers), like 5x8 cells - hit ctrl-c or right-click -> "copy" - some moments later, calc crashes without any errormessage ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libreoffice-calc 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Nov 1 11:28:08 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/884684/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Desktop-packages] [Bug 884684] Re: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns
Allo, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884684 Title: libreoffice calc crashes on copying some columns Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Steps to reproduce: - open some spreadsheet, .csv or .ods does not matter - select some data (text, numbers), like 5x8 cells - hit ctrl-c or right-click -> "copy" - some moments later, calc crashes without any errormessage ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libreoffice-calc 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Nov 1 11:28:08 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/884684/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug.
