[Desktop-packages] [Bug 905387] Re: Deja dup does a fresh backup every single time
No, it doesn't look like that one... I tried to use again the old encrypted backup, but that one has another problem when doing a fresh backup (the problem that prompted me to switch backup folder in the first place) all in all, with the new folder, it seems it happens far less often -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to deja-dup in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905387 Title: Deja dup does a fresh backup every single time Status in “deja-dup” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Instead of doing an incremental backup, deja-dup chooses to do a fresh one without truly explaining the decision this is the third time in a row ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: deja-dup 20.1-0ubuntu0.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Dec 16 17:10:09 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64+mac (20111012) SourcePackage: deja-dup UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/905387/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Desktop-packages] [Bug 905387] Re: Deja dup does a fresh backup every single time
It could be, since november I switched to use a fresh new backup, and it hasn't happened anymore... I'll try to see if I kept the old encrypted backup and I can use it again without problems -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to deja-dup in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905387 Title: Deja dup does a fresh backup every single time Status in “deja-dup” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Instead of doing an incremental backup, deja-dup chooses to do a fresh one without truly explaining the decision this is the third time in a row ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: deja-dup 20.1-0ubuntu0.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Dec 16 17:10:09 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64+mac (20111012) SourcePackage: deja-dup UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/905387/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Might this have been bug 902985? (That is, were you using an encryption password and do you think maybe the backup never actually completed and thus it was trying and failing to resume it?) ** Changed in: deja-dup (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to deja-dup in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905387 Title: Deja dup does a fresh backup every single time Status in “deja-dup” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Instead of doing an incremental backup, deja-dup chooses to do a fresh one without truly explaining the decision this is the third time in a row ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: deja-dup 20.1-0ubuntu0.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Dec 16 17:10:09 2011 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64+mac (20111012) SourcePackage: deja-dup UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/905387/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
