[Desktop-packages] [Bug 927384] Re: indicator-weather crashed with SIGSEGV in g_array_free()

2012-10-03 Thread Edward Donovan
On another note, I, too, have switched to my-weather-indicator and am
much happier. It's pre-1.0, but doesn't crash like this, does the job
fine, and has an active developer. Only in a PPA at the moment. Excuse
me if that's bug-spam to anyone. Thanks.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 927384] Re: indicator-weather crashed with SIGSEGV in g_array_free()

2012-10-03 Thread Edward Donovan
I set it back to Confirmed. This is the second time 'toda' has done
that; you can see it above. That user goes around changing statuses and
assignments that they evidently don't understand. It's worse when
he/she sets a bug to Fix Released; most users, like me, can't undo that
change.

I've tried to bring some attention to this before. From looking at the
bugs they've submitted, they don't seem to speak English. I don't speak
Romanian, so I haven't emailed them directly. (Plus I'd be too
ungracious, at this point...) If anyone has more Launchpad privileges,
and knows the best/standard way to deal with problems like this, that
would be great. Thanks.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 927384] Re: indicator-weather crashed with SIGSEGV in g_array_free()

2012-10-02 Thread Jon Smirl
The advice from Davide is good. I have not had any issues with
my-weather-indicator..
Glad to get rid of over a year's worth of crashes from the old one.

"I am currently using
https://launchpad.net/my-weather-indicator

you can get it from PPA
https://launchpad.net/~atareao/+archive/atareao

works perfectly, no bugs or continuous crashes..."

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 927384] Re: indicator-weather crashed with SIGSEGV in g_array_free()

2012-09-18 Thread elhoir
wow,

according to my-weather-indicator website (
http://www.atareao.es/software/my-weather-indicator-software/ ) (in

have you the Google service enabled? maybe this issue can be "fixed" by
selecting Yahoo instead og Google as the default weather information
service

you can get it from PPA
