Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 934023] Re: mceusb remote stops working after lucid->precise upgrade
This change in the new lirc to drop hardware.conf is going to break a lot of people that upgrade to zesty. That has been part of Ubuntu for a very long time... [Desktop-packages] [Bug 934023] Re: mceusb remote stops working after lucid->precise upgrade
The root cause here seems to be that the lircd.conf file was updated together with lirc. From the new version 0.9.4 (zesty) the remote definitions are not longer part of the lirc package, so this just cannot happen. So, from a lirc perspective this bug is solved by the lirc-0.8.4c changelog. That said, any lircd.conf sourcing files from the lirc package will be a problem when upgrading. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lirc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/934023 Title: mceusb remote stops working after lucid->precise upgrade Status in lirc package in Ubuntu: New Status in mythbuntu-lirc-generator package in Ubuntu: New Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I had a previously functioning mceusb remote with lucid.
