[Desktop-packages] [Bug 937347] Re: gnome-session restarts when I try to play videos
I have this problem too with my new webcam (I bought it today : logitech C270). The unity or gnome-shell or xfce session is killed very very fast each time I want to read the webM videos that I've recorded with cheese. reading wmv videos kill session too. Trying to capture a video using vlc 2 ... or starting guvcview (1.5.2) kill the session immediately. Cheese is the only one which work. The only way to read the webm videos is to use firefox 12 beta 4 (HTML5 reader). Sorry ... I can't tell you if it's a regression cause I did not use my previous webcam during few months. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937347 Title: gnome-session restarts when I try to play videos Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When I try to play some video in a player (tested in Totem and in VLC) the session is closed and go back to the Unity greeter.
