That would clash with the Horror Userfrienlii that has gripped the Firefox 
Development Community since, oh 'bout five years ago.
Options squashed, regression is a feature, we know what's best, emulate the 
comp. even if they're crippled-- you know, that kind of thing.

  firefox 10.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.11.10.1

  when dragging an image in other browsers, the image saves to computer,
  as I was expecting to happen in firefox

  instead, firefox creates a link in the directory dragged to, linking
  to the website of the image

  this has worked as expected in 11.04, this is on a newly-created user,
  no settings changes

Dragging an image will create a link. Dragging while holding the Control key 
will download the file.
Is this a conscious change in behavior or a bug?
I would prefer the old behavior of dragging an image to download (without 
Control key).
