[Desktop-packages] [Bug 960408] Re: Chromium doesn't know how to handle apt:// by default is this a feature we can add

2013-06-05 Thread Thomas Ward
Hiya!

Phill Whiteside (phillw) pinged me on IRC in #ubuntu-bugs and requested
that this be marked "Invalid" which Saikrishna Arcot (saiarcot895) was
trying to do (but they marked this as "Fix Released".

After looking at this and bug triage guidelines, this is better marked
as "Won't Fix". This initially falls into a "Feature Request", but
since this is a feature that has been dropped with no intention on
implementing, this should be marked "Won't Fix" rather than "Invalid".

As such, I'm marking this as "Won't Fix" instead of "Fix Released".

** Changed in: chromium-browser (Ubuntu)
Status: Fix Released => Won't Fix

2013-06-05 Thread Saikrishna Arcot
That was my mistake. I was intending to close the bug and chose Fix
Released before I realized that this is Invalid and not a bug.
Unfortunately, it can only be changed by a bug supervisor now.

2013-06-05 Thread Phill Whiteside
Hi,

If this is technically not a bug, how was a fix released?

Regards,

Phill.

2013-03-15 Thread Saikrishna Arcot
There is a default app: the Ubuntu Software Center. That screen is just
telling you that it will launch the Software Center for the app.

Also, I believe the protocol handles are managed by the system, not
Chromium.
