[Desktop-packages] [Bug 964574] Re: Images print as black blocks
We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time. Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) reached end-of-life on October 28, 2012. Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and in which version of Ubuntu otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time. Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 964574] Re: Images print as black blocks
I encounter similar phenomena at Ubuntu 12.04 on my home. This computer is connected to very old printer, Canon S600 (equivalent, BJ F850 in Japanese brand name) via USB. Almost of all printing is fine using foomatic printer driver (S600 or S630) except printing from Firefox. It turns out totally black with fine streaky lines in the right side. Page is totally black with characters embossing like photo negatives. Printing is no problem if I once output pages to PDF (using cups-pdf) and then printing (using Adobe Acrobat). Also, I confirmed this problem on printing from Google Chrome. I am not sure what layer is the cause of this problem, cups, gs or these browsers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/964574 Title: Images print as black blocks Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: With the latest upgrade (11.0) images print as a black block.
