[Desktop-packages] [Bug 998056] Re: Maximize window freezes computer for about 10 seconds

2018-12-27 Thread Paul White
We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner.

Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a
currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and
in which version of Ubuntu otherwise this report can be left to expire
in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 998056] Re: Maximize window freezes computer for about 10 seconds

2013-08-31 Thread jmac
Same problem on 12.04 on a Dell Vostro 1700, 2GB RAM, Intel Core2 Duo,
2Ghz.

I tried to look at system monitor when it happens but the whole system
just freezes so you can't tell what's happening. Nothing in syslog or
dmesg.

100% reproducible.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 998056] Re: Maximize window freezes computer for about 10 seconds

2012-08-30 Thread Jens Elstner
Hi there,

I got the same Problem with a second screen via a docking station.

But after deleting the nvidia driver, everything went to normal (except
the bad two screen expierience by the nuoveau driver)!

So until now I'm getting used to the 'maximizing break' until nvidia
making this bloody driver open source or just not so bad.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 998056] Re: Maximize window freezes computer for about 10 seconds

2012-08-15 Thread Brian Bandy
As an added note, I agree that this appears to happen about 90% of the
time when I'm connected to my laptop dock at work with 2 screens
attached. But when working off the dock at home on the laptop screen
only, it happens far less often, maybe only about 50% of the time.
Still extremely disruptive.
